Destination Weddings

The Sunscape Puerto Plata is an all-inclusive resort that makes weddings easy. At many all-inclusive resorts, guests have to go off property for most activities; however, at a wedding at Sunscape, there are no off-site activities because everything that guests need will be available at their fingertips. The hotel can host up to 600 wedding guests and they offer three ceremony locations: secluded beaches or gazebos on beautiful grounds surrounded by tropical plants or you can also get married on a catamaran. The resort can host several different kinds of ceremonies including religious, civil, and cultural weddings. They also have 11 ballrooms that are perfect for smaller parties such as birthday celebrations and reunions. Each room has been carefully decorated with rich wood furnishings and floor-to-ceiling windows overlooking lush gardens and ocean views. All rooms feature king beds, flat-screen TVs, DVD players, Wi-Fi Access, and minibars. Guests can enjoy relaxing at one of four swimming pools or playing golf on one of two courses. There are six restaurants where guests can enjoy dining options from Italian cuisine to Caribbean seafood dishes. You’ll never run out of things to do while staying at Sunscape Puerto Plata!

Wedding Packages & All-Inclusive Resorts

One of our favorite things about Sunscape Puerto Plata is that it offers everything from wedding packages to all-inclusive resorts. If you’re dreaming of a perfect wedding, then consider one of their stunning wedding packages and enjoy every moment of your special day. For something more laid back, choose one of their all-inclusive options, with everything from restaurants to golf courses included. Whatever you decide on, we can’t wait for you to visit!

Dining Options

Just so you know, guests at all-inclusive resorts in DR can typically choose from a variety of cuisines, including Italian, American, Brazilian, and French. I should add that, as with many other parts of the Caribbean coast, seafood is one of Puerto Plata’s greatest culinary assets. If you’re looking for it here (and who isn’t?), you won’t be disappointed. Three gourmet restaurants are located at Sunscape Puerto Plata: Kibo Japanese Restaurant; Kai-A-Koi Sushi Bar & Steakhouse; and La Palapa Grill (which specializes in rotisserie meats). There’s also an Italian restaurant onsite but my favorite was Paddy Flaherty’s Irish Pub & Grill.

Recreation Options

The resort’s main feature is its 700 feet of beachfront property on Playa Dorada. To get away from it all, explore miles of walking paths or go for a swim in one of three pools. When you’re ready to see more, walk to a nearby bar and restaurant area or hop on a shuttle into Bayahibe. Or hop a ferry out to explore farther-flung parts of La Hispaniola island, including La Romana and Santo Domingo. It’s up to you how much adventure you want – but we won’t tell if you just want some pool time.
