Why You Should Check the Southwest Airline Low Fare Calendar

Southwest Airline Low Fare Calendar
Southwest Airline is famous for having the lowest airfare of any airline in the United States, but many people don’t know that Southwest offers their lowest fares on select dates throughout the year. By taking advantage of these flights you can save hundreds of dollars on vacations and trips to visit family and friends. This article shows you how to take advantage of the Southwest Airline Low Fare Calendar to find cheap flights and get out of town faster than ever before!

The other things to know

The major reason to check and see if there is a low fare calendar going on is so you can be ready to purchase your flight as soon as it goes on sale. The lowest fares only last for a certain amount of time, so if you miss out, then that’s it. If you take note of when these sales start and how long they last, then you’ll always have plenty of time to get everything in order for booking your tickets. Also, if you subscribe to their newsletter, they are sure to let you know when there are current sales going on. From here, just be diligent about keeping an eye out when starting a search for flights and trying not to keep refreshing over and over again!

Connect with Southwest Airlines via Facebook and Twitter

From their tweets to their Facebook posts, it’s easy to see that social media is a big part of Southwest Airlines’ marketing strategy. They actively encourage users to follow them on Facebook and Twitter. Be sure you are signed up for updates and notifications so you don’t miss any important information, especially when they offer special deals. And check out all their recent posts to keep yourself updated on what they’re up to.

Follow on LinkedIn

There’s a reason why airlines like Southwest have such loyal customers: The company knows how to offer cheap tickets without sacrificing any of its amenities. If you don’t use social media, make sure you sign up for Southwest’s email list or follow them on Twitter. Not only do they send deals, but they post announcements and updates on flight information.

Book travel online or call 1-800-I-FLY-SWA (1-800-435-9792)

We understand that you’re eager to jump on a deal, but if you call or log onto our website too quickly and encounter higher fares or no availability, it can cost you. If you think finding a deal is important, then schedule some time for yourself to go online at a later time when fares are more likely to be lower and/or your preferred flight times will be available. Also keep in mind that departure times have nothing to do with sale prices.

Know how to use Rapid Rewards points effectively

Rapid Rewards points are free to earn, so there’s no reason not to rack them up. But know how and when to use those points effectively—and you’ll get more value out of each Rapid Rewards point. For example, if you’re flying into a smaller airport (like Nashville instead of Dallas) with limited schedules, it may be better to pay cash on Southwest than risk missing your flight because your ticket was canceled. Also keep in mind that some airlines charge change fees; only use Rapid Rewards points if it’s an option for free changes. And when booking directly with an airline or hotel, make sure you know about additional fees like taxes or resort fees before you book.

Keep in mind, it’s not just about cheap flights; it’s about flexibility.

One of my favorite parts about a southwest air flight is that you can change your ticket for free. If something comes up and you’re unable to travel on your original date, it’s not a problem. All you have to do is head over to your flight booking and cancel it for free, no questions asked. Then, if you want to rebook in a later time slot at a lower price, all you have to do is buy an entirely new ticket.
